Finally... a frog is born
Comments(6) # Finally... a frog is born london e10

I didn't plan to have the first fully emerged frog appear at the solstice but when I came across this little (about fingernail size) fellow sitting wistfully on a leaf in our garden pond it did seem poetic (that is, we started with the spawn so only fitting that we should carry on with the frog at the first significant calendulic event). Since I took the photo last week there have been loads more, the flower borders are now full of little jumping froglets. Hopefully they'll eat up all the little sluglets and snail-lets whose mission in life is to eat our plantlets, grow into strong frogs and return to breed in the pond in two or three years time.
