It's sad that the first appearance of what is only the fourth mammal to make these pages is a diseased one (and thus this also, I think, marks the first virus). I often see rabbits briefly at the Waterworks Nature Reserve but they're usually much too fast for me, whereas this poor specimen seemed almost unaware of my presence at all. Other than its blindness, however, it seemed relatively healthy and was still eating (loss of appetite is, I seem to recall, another symptom of Myxi). Some rabbits do recover from the disease so we can only hope that this one remains lucky (and doesn't run into any of the local foxes). Canon PowerShot G9
