If the flower dangles then, to feed, the Butterfly must too. The photograph doesn't show it, but this is probably the biggest Peacock I've ever seen, well over three inches in wingspan. For butterflies in general we're hoping for a good summer as recent wet ones have lead to a dramatic decline in their numbers. Locally the only species I've seen in any number so far this year have been the Speckled Wood and Cabbage Whites. Canon EOS-1D Mark III
