Common Water Flag Iris (1)
Comments(4) # Common Water Flag Iris (1) london e17

The commonest, and most invasive, of the aquatic flag irises is this yellow flowered variety. Seen here before it unfurls. Its ability to take up heavy metals has lead to it being used as a part of biological water purification systems. And it was all yellow, some might say. Canon EOS 5D
