Wild Asters?
Comments(4) # Wild Asters? london e17

So, the first of our "Signs of Autumn" photos is these wild Asters (more commonly called Michaelmas Daisies in the UK). I can't say I'd particularly associated them with this time of year though having said that there are an awful lot of them in flower down in Walthamstow marshes at the moment. I'm not sure that this is the same plant to which Chilvers referred to in his suggestion for what lets him know that autumn in on its way (his are growing in the American West) let us know one way or the other Chilvers! In case you missed Saturday's post where I brought this all up, this project arises from something over at Blue Witch's Blog a week or so ago where she was asking us what we felt signified the onset of autumn. I've adapted it a bit to ask you what signifies autumn that I can go and try and capture with the camera. All suggestions welcome. Canon EOS 40D
