Orange Tip Butterfly
Comments(2) # Orange Tip Butterfly london e17

Pretty clear where this Butterfly got its name from isn't it? Although the female of the species doesn't have orange tips at all and so, at first glance, looks pretty much like most of the other white butterflies. April is, in my experience, quite early for Orange Tips. I don't usually expect to see them until well into May. They only have one brood a year so the eggs that will be laid in the next few weeks will hatch into the caterpillars that we'll see as butterflies next spring. Canon EOS 5D
