Oak Apple (2)
Comments(0) # Oak Apple (2) london e17

I'm sure since my Oak Apple / Marble post you've all being looking at the budding Oak Trees roundabouts (or imagining those near me, if you don't have any near you) and wondering which of the buds has been infected by one of those wasps. Well, you'll not be surprised to learn, so have I. I haven't actually managed to catch a wasp in the act yet but I have spotted a very early stage of an Oak Apple here... and looking more like an apple, albeit a rather rotten one, than the previous one looked like a marble. You may or may not be interested to learn that the parasite has emerged from the previous gall I showed you (apparent from a small bore hole). Canon EOS 5D
