Lunar View
Comments(4) # Lunar View london e10, two amoeba walking out of a bar when one says to the other, "Is that the sun or the moon?", to which the other amoeba replies, "I don't know, I'm a stranger here myself?". No? Ah, well, maybe you had to be there. Come to think of it, the first LDNP postcard (your choice of photo) as a prize to the first person who can tell me (in the comments box) where that comes from (and I've had to re-word it to deny any cheats an easy Google...can't believe it's actually on the web, but maybe I shouldn't be that surprised!) ...and I know the Moon isn't in London but even we can see it through the light pollution and general smudgy haze as, I suspect, can all of you even if to some of you it appears upside down. Also it affects nature in so many ways, from the tides that flow right up into London on the Thames (and, more locally for me the Lee), as a navigational aid for meurths and other night fliers and maybe even to affect our sanity (yes, I'm in one of those moods). It was taken last night which was beautifully clear in case anyone is interested. Some older moon shots of mine from the last lunar eclipse in those far off days before I started LDNP can be seen here. Canon EOS 40D
