It's the RSPB sponsored Feed the Birds day today. We spend a fortune on feeding the birds in our garden but it's worth every penny just to see them in the garden all year round, particularly the young ones come spring. We have at least two Jays who feed on this nut holder at the moment, both this year's brood I think. As well as obviously loving peanuts Jays are, apparently, very important in the dispersal of acorns and hence responsible for many of the UK's oaks. Maybe even this one.....which we'll have another look at tomorrow even though it hasn't shown any great change as yet. Canon EOS 40D
