They always look so appetising, don't they? But oh no, on their own they're probably one of the bitterest berries one can find. Best pricked (or frozen), mixed with sugar and gin, left to age for a while and then drunk mid-winter. Not that I ever am, oh no. They're the fruit of the Blackthorn, of course. Canon EOS 5D
