White Tailed Bumblebee sheltering on Ragwort
Comments(2) # White Tailed Bumblebee sheltering on Ragwort london e17

Whilst the weather in London hasn't been anywhere near as bad a some parts of the UK recently, neither has it been particularly good. Certainly not very conducive for getting out with the camera. But Thursday I thought I spied a gap in the clouds and ventured out to my favourite local bit of scrap land. Just as I took out the camera it started to rain. So, I sheltered under an oak tree for twenty minutes or so before it stopped. I then ventured out to find several White Tailed Bumblebees had similarly been caught out by the weather but had chosen to shelter on the underneath of these ragwort flowers rather than the oak. No sooner had I taken this shot than it started to rain again so I went back to the oak. I gave up after another twenty minutes or so but the bumbles were still there when I left. Maybe they still are..... Canon EOS 5D
