White Lipped Banded Snail
Comments(6) # White Lipped Banded Snail london e17

Just when I think I've got all my categories for LDNP sorted out along comes something new. Like most gardeners I'm not a great fan of molluscs (well not slugs or snails anyway) so hadn't thought that they'd provide something worthy of a photo here at LDNP. However, this one, with its semi-fluorescent glossy glow, caught my attention straight away. Also it wasn't in my garden, so....hey presto we've got a category for molluscs of which there are, apparently, 80 species of snail and 23 of slug in the UK. Somehow, I still don't think we'll see as much of them as we do of the Dragonflies (39 resident species). Canon EOS 5D
